A Blissful evening and warm welcome to all.
One more year has rolled into history of our school and its strife to educate the world. One more feather has been added to our cap by the grace of God almighty. With heart full of gratitude we raise our hearts to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the source of everlasting love and mercy and honoring venerable Fr. Mathew Kadalikkattil, the founder of Sacred Heart congregation, the guiding star of our school.
On this delightful occasion, we are celebrating the 29th annual day with ineffable happiness and contentment , It is my great privilege to present the footprints of Sacred Heart Jyothi Central School 2019-20
We are so grateful to our beloved Mother General Rev. Sr. Alphonsa Thottumkal S.H, Provincial Superior Rev. Sr. Dr. Merlin Areeparambil S H and the present provincial team especially our educational councilor Rev. Sr. Pushpa Jose S H for their wonderful leadership.
On 27th February 2019 we celebrated our last Annual day in a spectacular manner. The public meeting started at 5. 30 PM. Very Rev Sr. Alphonsa Thottumkal S H, Superior general of Sacred Heart Congregation was the chief guest. Sr. Liset Vellathottam S H extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests well wishers , parents, and dear and near ones. The Annual report was presented by Principal Rev. Sr. Elsy Manuel S H. The Chief Guest Rev. Sr. Alphonsa Thottumkal inaugurated the celebration .Rev. Sr. Theres koipuram S H, Vicar provincial and educational councilor of S H Province, Pala delivered the presidential address. Rev. Fr. Geevarghese Thiruvalil OIC Vicar St. Joseph’s Malankara Catholic Church, Arasuparambu delivered the key note address. Shri Premachandran, ward councilor, Nedumangad Municipality, Smt. Saleena S, PTA President, Kumari. Zaira Shahida UKG were felicitated the function. Smt. Preetha P V, Staff representative conveyed heartfelt thanks to one and all.
We commence the new academic year formally on 3th June, 2019 with a colorful “Praveshanolsavam”. All the parents are participated with great enthusiasm. The new beginning is started with a blessing prayer led by local Manager Rev. Sr. Rincy S H. Master Arav R V, LKG, and The first admission of the year 2019-20 inaugurated the fresh academic year by lighting the lamp. During this juncture, Sr. Elsy Manuel, Former Principal introduced our new local manager Rev. Sr. Rincy Varavunkal S H, and the new Principal,Sr. Liset Vellathottam S H

A little motivation and guidance enables the teachers to plan and execute the innovations in class room and make teaching- learning a pleasant experience. On May 2nd 2019 onwards our teachers attended an 8 days spoken English and personality development training class conducted by the Resource persons from STAR Line Company.
The new executive board of PTA and MPTA was formed in the month of July. Mr. Prasanth T A is elected as PTA president Mr. Sajumon vice president. , Smt Seeba kumar MPTA president, Smt Sheeba vice president were elected.
“A good education is the most important thing we can give our children.”(Louis) The Investiture Ceremony is a red letter day in the S H Jyothi Calendar. On 26th July 2019, Sri. Suresh Kumar, Circle Inspector, Nedumangad, Inaugurated the Investiture ceremony and the message given by him was very interesting and inspiring to the parents as well as the students. School Cabinet was installed in the presence of chief guest and he presented the official badges to the elected leaders. Master Jeevan J Suresh, class VI and Kumari Saniya Manu, class VII sworn in as Head Boy and Head Girl respectively. Sports Captain and leaders of four houses, and varies club leaders and class leaders also were duly bestowed. A dance rendition by our students added color and vibrancy to the event.
Each World Environment Day is organized around a theme that focuses attention on a particularly pressing environmental concern. For the fulfillment of the theme for 2019, “Beat Air Pollution,” we planted saplings in the school campus.
28th June was observed as Sacred Heart Feast day. Rev. Fr. Augustine OIC blessed our school and vehicles. Also Rev. Father shared an inspiring message.
July 1st to 4th observed as reading day. News reading and quiz competitions were held on the same day.
On August 15th we celebrated our independence day with great honor and patriotism. Principal Sr. Liset Vellathottam S H hoisted the National Flag and our local manager Rev. S R. Rincy Varavunkal S H shared a valuable message. This day is so vivid by variety programs of our students.

To honor our teachers, in recognition of their noble service teacher’s day was celebrated on 5th September. Our student community offered their love, respect and gratitude to their teachers. A beautiful momento was presented by the PTA as a token of love and respect to the teachers.
Together with teachers day we celebrated Onam in a grant manner. PTA President Mr. Prasanth T inaugurated the celebration. PTA and MPTA executive members arranged “ONASADHYA” for all students, parents and teachers. The Mavelimannan and Malayalimanka competitions added colors to the celebration.
On 19th September 2019, we arranged an awareness program for the PTA members together with open house. Dr. Sunil Raj, clinical Psychologist and higher education dpt. Resource person addressed the PTA gathering and led the awareness class about good parenting.
The motto of our father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi is to make our motherland a green, beautiful and safe place to live. The first week of October observed as green days. Our staff and students cleaned the school campus and planted saplings. On 2nd October, we celebrated Gandhi Jayanthi with due respect and love. Quiz competition was conducted on this day
“The quality of your thinking determines the quality of your mind”. One of the most exciting events of the school is the school exhibition. It was held on 12th November under the leadership of Science, Maths, IT, Eco, Arts and Crafts clubs. All the students including KG section made great effort in putting up various exhibits. It infuses a healthy competitive spirit through reward based assessment.
On 14th November we celebrated children’s day in a colorful way. Under the leader ship of KG students, children’s day rally was conducted. Sr. Liset S H conveyed the children’s day message.
From 13th to 15th November different competitions were conducted to bring up the inner talents of the students. Speech, recitation, light music, storytelling, dance and fancy dress were the items which beautify the day.
“Strength does not come from physical capacity, it comes from unity and an indomitable will”. Sports plays a very vital role in the development of mental strength, strong physic, team spirit, willpower, sportsmanship and positive attitudes among students. As it is necessary to build up both physical & mental ability of our children we give optimum importance for sports and games. On 22nd November we conducted annual sports day events. It was well arranged and guided by Hi5 Sports group. District Fire Officer, Sri. M S Suvi, the chief guest inaugurated the function. The fascinating performance of our students’ march-past by red, blue, green, yellow houses and display by our students made the day a memorable one. All the students actively participated in various competitions with true sportsman spirit.
Our students secure 1st overall in the 2nd Hi5 interschool Football championship held at Aruvikkara and 1st Overall championship in Hi5 inter school Archery Competition held in our school. Hearty congratulations to all the winners. Mr. Rofin Muhammed Salim, MD of Hi5 Sports and the staff members have special appreciation for their dedicated team work. After school time and on vacation a Special football coaching is introduced in this year.
In order to bring up the physical and mental ability, Karate and yoga classes are arranged by an expert Master Sensai Madhu.
All the students including KG are practicing twice in a week.

SH Jyothi is going ahead hand in hand with our society. An eye camp is arranged here on 20th November under the leader ship of Al-Hiba eye hospital Nedumangadu. Sri P G Premachandran, our ward councilor inaugurated the program.
The commemoration of the birth of child Jesus was so charming. On 20th December we celebrated Christmas in a most solemn way to promote the values of love peace and joy. Director Sr. Elsy Manuel extended a cordial welcome to the chief guest and others. Rev. Fr. Varghese Angadiyil, Director, Mathruvedhi Nedumangadu inaugurated the celebration and delivered an inspiring thought provoking message. PTA President Mr. Prasanth T Felicitated the function. Cultural programs were staged by our students. Special appreciation to the KG students for their excellent performance in Balae” IMMANUEL”, revealing the birth of Jesus.
We deeply believe in the proverb “Charity begins at home”
Our school always shown special concern in stretching arms to the poor and needy. Through this try to maintaining a virtue of share and care. We give educational support to more than 60 students and also given special consideration to our 2 students for their higher studies.
Our library has been enriched with subscriptions for more number of news papers, magazines, educational periodicals and about 2300 books, both in English and Malayalam. Also reading corner was well arranged in each class.
We have been installed 13 cameras in and out of the school campus to increase the transparency, vigilance and student safety in school premises.
Including Sports and Karate, communicative English program has been organized for students to enhance their communication skills.
Besides this we introduced Modern Teaching and Training Aids for Lower classes, S U P W and Craft work for STD I to VII.
According to the rule of CBSE Fire and rescue system connecting 10,000 liter water tank and 3 phase electric system were implemented.
For relaxation, recreation and quest for knowledge, we arranged a picnic for all classes to Kottur and Neyyar Dam. This was one day when all the teachers and the students together had all the fun.

Nursery classes are the foundation stone of education. 19th February is so marvelous with the graduation ceremony of our UKG students

Our students prove their excellence in various scholarship examinations such as, National Hindi Academy Prathibha scholarship examination, Unix IT & GK, Drawing & Coloring competitions, Byju’s Math’s Talent Examinations, Gate @ School for KG etc.
26 students from KG section awarded Gate @ School scholarship. Kumari Sreya A S, Class 3rd, Kumari. Naeema Fathima class 4th secured Ist and IIIrd rank in National Hindi Academy Prathibha Scholarship Examination. Abhinaya L, Class II, Muh. Sahadulla UKG and Jeevan J Suresh Class VI awarded 1st, 3rd and 4th rank respectively in UNIX IT & GK scholarship examination. Besides these 49 students have secured cash prizes for the same. Misriya class 7, Jeevan J Suresh class6, Keerthana S Ajith class 4, Ameya S P class 5 were got selection in Byju’s Math’s Talent examination.

Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam, the missile man and the late president of India reminds us” Confidence and hard work is the best medicine to kill the disease called failure, and make you successful person”. This amazing message really attributed to the vision of our school. The ample opportunities effective guidance of teachers and the homely atmosphere of the school impart self confidence and the culture of hard work for the success of our students.
On this auspicious occasion may I express my gratitude to one and all who has supported us in all our endeavors during this academic year, specially making this annual day possible, by means of their suggestion, support, prayer and their committed service and cooperation. We are greatly indebted to our Manager Rev. Sr. Dr. Merlin Areeparambil S H and the team members for their prayerful support, encouragement and concern.
I am so grateful to Sr. Elsy Manuel Director, for her whole hearted support, deep dedication and selfless service behind the success of the school, particularly for the recognition. Also I acknowledge the prayerful support, valuable guidance and helping hands of Rev. Sr. Rincy Varavunkal S H, The local Manager and Sr. Elsilit S H, the former local manager. I am so thankful to the PTA and MPTA executive members, all the parents for their great support and concern for the progress of our school. I remember our teachers with gratitude for their zealous perseverance, efficiency, co operation, timely feedback and appreciation for the smooth functioning of the academic activities. Special words of thanks to the non teaching staff for their vital role in the growth of this temple of learning. Also I take this opportunity to extend my sincere gratitude to all the dignitaries on the Dias.
With heartful of joy, I bow my head in gratitude before God almighty for the countless blessings showered upon S H Jyothi family and pray for better future. By recalling the school motto “Arise – Awake- Stop not still the goal is reached” I humbly present the nutshell of the Annual Report 2019-20
